GEIST: I think that phrase sums up this great fic. And if you haven't read it, you should go and do it right now. Helen takes the premise of taking one of the *N Sync guys and turning him into something else (In this case, Chris gets turned into a girl), which I've seen in quite a number of fics lately, but hers is probably the more original, the one which deals better with the troubles that the old switcheroo causes in the group. Plus, I'm in love with Theresa, the PR manager of the guys. There is a Theresa among Jive and she has appeared in a number of fics already (Mine included), but Helen's Theresa is one of the best constructed characters I've read in quite a long time... Just read this:"My girlfriend has a fucking cock, what do you think?" he said, and no one bothered him after that. It's hilarious. Also, the way Lance is portrayed, without being either the one who doesn't know a thing, the one who knows everything, the one in love with JC or the one who everyone wants happy, was a really welcome change (Not that I have anything against Lance, is only that lately... urgh!). JC is pretty realistic too... And I'm going to let Polter tackle the 'Nick Carter' debate. That line has really infulenced our lives..."Your age has always been a pain in my ass, Kirkpatrick," Theresa said. "You're twenty-five. Learn to love it." |

What can I say then?... Well, nothing... Just read it man!!... It´s
worth the time...
Besides this fic has been a big influece in our way of speaking... Here is a sample of what I´m saying: "Do we have to call him Nick Carter every time we say his name?" JC said. "I mean, are we trying to distinguish him from the other fat Nicks we know?"And yes, Geist and I have gotten to call him "Nick Carter", as if we knew any other Nicks, fat or not... Finally I have to say this: this fic made me jump out of my skin and cry... (Well, o.k. I'm a cry baby, but I couldn't help it! That scene is heartwrenching!) So if you´re a big fan of Chris and Joey, You gotta read this!!!!... |
